Buying a work

Shipping, payment and returns

There's no payment on the website. Once you request a work, you'll receive everything you need by email, and the work is reserved for you.

Payment and reservation

  • Click "I'd like this work" and choose collection or shipping.
  • You'll receive bank transfer or MB WAY details by email.
  • The work is reserved for 3 days. Without payment in that time, it becomes available again.
  • Once payment is received, Maria confirms and arranges delivery.

Collect in person

Free of charge. The day, time and place are arranged with you.

Shipping

  • In a wooden crate, insured, by a specialist art carrier.
  • The cost depends on the size of the work and the destination. You receive the quote before any payment.
  • We ship worldwide. Outside the European Union, import duties and taxes may apply, paid by the recipient.

Returns

  • Catalogue works: 14 days from delivery to cancel the purchase, without giving a reason. We refund the amount paid; return shipping is at your expense.
  • Commissions: 50% on approval and 50% plus transport at the end, before shipping or on collection. You have 7 days after receiving it to decide: if you return it, we refund 100% of what you paid, minus only the cost of collecting it. The work must be in perfect condition.

Certificate of authenticity

Every work comes with a certificate signed by Maria, in Portuguese and English, stating title, medium, size and year.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see the work before buying?

Yes. If it's on show at an exhibition, the work's page says where. You can also arrange a visit to the studio.

Does the work come framed?

As a rule, no: works are delivered unframed, ready to hang. The few that are framed say so on their page.

How long does shipping take?

The timing is agreed with you, together with the shipping quote, depending on the destination.

Do you issue an invoice?

Yes, with your tax number if you include it in your request.
